Saba’s Learning Management System is the first system to qualify for the guarantee. This means that all e-learning content created in Mohive will be 100% track-able in Saba’s LMS. Mohive eLPS is an enterprise software system that enables organisations to efficiently create and publish e-learning content.
“Mohive’s workflow-driven approach not only applies to the planning, authoring and reviewing aspects of the e-learning content creation process, but also to publishing. With this guarantee, it means that all Saba customers can have all their content fully track-able in their LMS, out of the box” said Lars Unneberg, Mohive CEO. “We chose to guarantee Saba first because of the tight relationship between our two companies, especially in the European marketplace.”
“We have added an extra layer of integration into Learning Management Systems because we feel the current SCORM standard allows too much room for interpretation. We created a plug in framework that allows us to create LMS-specific interfaces that addresses these interpretations, thereby making content created in Mohive 100% track-able,” added Lars Andreas Aas, Mohive CTO.
Technology behind the guarantee:
Mohive has created a three-tiered interaction approach that enables e-learning content creators to be sure all aspects of course will track in their Saba LMS. The three tiers include:
- A plug in framework that delivers LMS-specific interfaces
- An authoring framework that provides tracking-compliant templates
- A web-services framework that allows for deeper integration into the LMS
Plug in framework – Mohive’s LMS-specific plug-in framework provides an interface between Mohive content and an LMS. The LMS-specific plug-in addresses the SCORM “Interpretation” issue, ensuring that all content created in Mohive is fully track-able.
Authoring framework – Mohive’s authoring framework enables Subject Matter Experts to create interactive, engaging content that automatically adheres to the SCORM standard. Mohive provides the author with “templates” that enable them to create a variety of interactive frames, while ensuring the final output is 100% SCORM compliant.
Web services framework – Mohive includes a web services framework that allows for a deeper integration into the LMS and other enterprise systems. For Saba customers, this means (for example), content created in Mohive can be directly deposited into Saba’s learning repository. Additionally, authors can access various media elements (such as images, videos, sounds) in their Saba Learning Content Management System, directly from Mohive.
